garuda story inner meaning

How to understand the Puranas "Puranethi Navam" means that the Purana will always be new no matter how often it is read. Did the Puranas happen? Yes, they did. Yes! In terms of philosophy, they always happen within us! When we understand that, we will understand the Purana. In any case, the goal of Paramahamsa is to take the good from it. Here is an example of that.

Dharmaraja “heard the Vedas in Bhishma’s discourse and remembered Garutmanta. The word Garutmanta also means the path of the Vedas. Therefore, he said that he wanted to hear and tell the story of Garutmanta.

Although Vyasa introduced the Sauparnopakhyanam in Bharata with the Adiparva, here again he is telling the story of Garutmanta. There is some inner meaning in this story, which is why Vyasa must have loved it so much. He says that Garutmanta was literally the vehicle of Vishnu and speaks about his greatness.
Bhishma says: “Kashyapa had two wives. He gave both of them, Vinata and Kadruva, the boon of having children as they desired. The word Kashyapa is also used to mean ‘the one who knows the truth’. That means that he will be truly blessed! The main thing of man is virtue and sin, which are his helpers. The two wives in this story are the virtuous and sinful people of man.

Vinata had two eggs and Kadruva had a thousand eggs. The two women kept them in pots and nets and waited for the souls to come from them. The fruits of virtuous and sinful deeds may come immediately or may take a while. They are waiting like that. The thousand eggs born to Kadru had hatched only one and given birth to a soul. They were all in the form of snakes. They were strong. They were tall. The eggs born to Vinata had not yet given birth to children. Vinata got jealous and hatched one egg. Even a "virtuous person" has to practice to overcome these mental disorders. Otherwise, she would have done such a crazy thing.

From that egg, the bird "Anurud" emerged with a large body, but because its lower part had not fully grown, its body was deformed. He rebuked the mother and said that you will have to serve Kadruva, the mother of snakes. He said that if you protect the second egg carefully, the one born from it will leave your slavery. He also said that it would take another five hundred years for this egg to hatch. After five years, the giant "Garutman" was born from that egg. Anurud was happy and went to the sun. The fruits of merit are of two kinds. One is to enjoy the worldly fruits and be happy. The other is to find a way to rise above the darkness. Anurud gave the first happiness. If Garutmanta had gone to the sun world as soon as he was born, then the fruit of his merit must have increased, and Vinata was going to get that fruit of his merit because of Garutmanta. When Anura left, Garutmanta went to eat a meal prepared by Brahma. After eating it, his body grew well, and he was kissed and played with by the Siddhas and Sadhyaganas. What kind of meal was that prepared by Brahma! The "righteous intellect" that a person gets as a result of merit may be that meal, which develops the body, mind, and intellect, and gives him powers equal to those of the Siddhas and Charanas.

Earlier in this story, Kadru and Vinata go to the seashore for a walk. Samudra means the joy of Brahma. If they reach it, they go to the shore of "Brahma Nandam". That is the "pure state of being". In the distance, they saw "Ucchaishrava", which is called pure truth. "Besides, Kadruva has a black horse, not white"—"No, that horse tells everything," said Vinata. Even if one attains truth through meritorious deeds, one should not develop the arrogance of humility. But here, "Vinata" was arrogant and refused to even say Kadruva. In fact, what color is it? Both of them argued and made a bet. Let's go and see. Whoever loses will have to serve the other person. That day, the work was postponed until dawn.

The next day, Kadruva plotted a mischievous plan and told her sons to go and tie the horse's tail in black, and all those sons would do things against Dharma. She cursed them. She said that they would all perish in the fire pit during the Janamejaya sacrifice. Only one "Karkotakud" reluctantly agreed to her order and fulfilled it all. Vinata lost her bet the next day. Navati became a maidservant. This situation came about because of her pride. That is why, even if a person is virtuous, he should be careful not to develop this pride. If it does, it will lead to a big downfall. If that pride of humility is to be lost, he should be ready to give charity to others, whether good or bad. It is as if he becomes a servant! It is said that the spiritual essence acquired through meritorious deeds brings the blessings of God. Similarly, Narada tells the story of the incident mentioned above to Garutman, asking him whether he should abandon the worldly service he had to his mother. Garutman immediately went to Navati's mother, bowed down and said, "You should do my mother's service. Don't think that I am arguing about whether it is right or wrong. If this service is to be done now, tell me what you want, and I will bring it." She said, "Bring me nectar - your mother will be left with no food. You will take her away!" Perhaps he thought that he could not do this work. Or he thought that since he could go to Brahma, he could bring nectar. She said that it would be of no use. Even though he cursed his son, if he brought nectar, he and they would live forever on earth. But the sons have gone away and are leading their lives in their own ways of merit and demerit. If he brought nectar, perhaps this Kadru, who is a symbol of sin, would benefit! Vasuki and other sons had already taken refuge in the Supreme Soul. They became immortal. Garut thought - what to do. I must immediately go to my father and get power! How? ” Together, he said, “Bring me the immortality, I have the power to defeat the gods.”
Kashyapa was a Pashyaka! That is, one who can see the truth. He saw. In the human world, they have duels. If that duel is destroyed, they cannot be equal to the gods; therefore, with the feeling of destroying that duel in his stomach, he said this.

‘There is a mountain near the eastern sea. There is a big river there. The Madhu and the Kaitabhas, who had fought and died for the sake of the land in the past, are being reborn in that mountain and lake as one yard and one piece and continue to fight. Those two must be captured and destroyed at once. Pela Pela Mandi said that it would be impossible to defeat the gods unless the two dualities were destroyed at once. Vainateyu flew away in an instant. There, a tortoise was preventing the elephant from drinking the water of the Narasi. The elephant trampled it. Since Pakshindra had learned their explanation from Pashyaku, he picked up both of them with his two claws and flew to the sky, where he was going to eat them. He knew that if the branch of the tree broke and fell, he would catch it and kill the sages who were in meditation, who were the size of a thumb. Did this Garutmanta, who said that he would destroy the duality of his father, also destroy the things of kindness? No. He did not destroy the kind-hearted ones. To save those sages, he held the broken branch with his mouth and saved them, and with this, Garutmanta is getting merit and reward. He stood somewhere on a mountain and destroyed both of them, and went to the heavenly world for nectar. First, one must recognize the duality. Happiness comes. It should be known that it follows. The sorrow that arises-oh-this has come as an opponent of happiness. That is why Garutmanta first saw an elephant and when it was going to the water, he followed it and recognized the tortoise that was fighting with it. Vyanamaharshi also describes it in the story!

The gods had hidden the pot of nectar in one place and had lit a fire around it. Therefore, Garutmanta first thought of Brahma and pleased him and bought it. He asked Brahma about the other thing. Then Brahma says, "Go to the place where the alamandas are. From there, bring an infinite amount of "butter" and pour it on the peaks of those flames. Pour as much as the flames cannot bear. They will subside. Then go inside and obtain the nectar"! Alamandas are the world of the saints. "Going there means you have to be a saint. Butter means love, kindness! Have plenty of these. Spread that "kindness" so much that the fire of anger cannot bear it. The teaching is that the moment he subsides, you can reach the nectar.

This is sadhana. Only through such sadhana can nectar be obtained. Amrit means "the grace of the divine soul"! The teaching is that so much work is required to earn it. Ordinary people keep having doubts about Purushakara... Is Moksha great? Is it divine grace? In sadhana, Purushakara is necessary. It is not to earn money! It should be done to get the grace of God. It should be done for the sake of it. If we get the grace of God through such Purushakara, we can get Moksha. What is greater? Purushakara is a duty in our current situation, and even greater! Because of that, we have to get 'grace', so the last and last is grace. Great!

Garuthmantu He did so and went inside, took the nectar pot, defeated the gods and presented it before "Kadhruva". Kadhruva had made all the necessary strategies to get the nectar in his worldly way. Will it be successful? How can it be achieved? No effort can be made for the grace of God! Garutman showed the nectar pot and left there, saying that his mother had left her servitude, and took her on his back and went to the heavenly world. The gods had come to him... Venuka and took it away from Kadhruva.

This is the inner meaning of the story of Garutman.

Garutman became the vehicle of Vishnu. He became a friend of Indra. Garutman means one who knows the Vedas and acts accordingly. The only thing we know is that the Vedas say to perform many sacrifices, if they are done as "charms" With sincerity, the Upanishads' thoughts rose, and the light of unity. If a person has the ability to attain salvation, he can attain salvation. For this, he should know and worship the Supreme Lord and be free from physical actions, said Bhishma! Then. Dharmaraja said
